With a free hands-on workshop, they will learn the important art of debate, and build the confidence and critical thinking skills to begin expressing themselves in a public setting. Medard Nelson-UNO Charter School to host Winter Wonderland

» Medard Nelson-UNO Charter School will hold a multicultural event entitled Winter Wonderland, A salute to countries around the world. It will be held Thursday, December 18, from 6:00 until 8:00 pm. Food tasting will be held from 6:00 until 7:00 pm and a musical event will be held from 7:00 until 8:00 pm.
Each Nelson class has been assigned a country to research. Students will design ornaments to decorate a Christmas tree according to the customs and traditions of their selected country. They will also prepare and serve a food item traditional to that country.
A musical program is being prepared which will focus on holiday songs with an international flare. Students and faculty members will participate in this festive program. The entire community is invited to attend this celebration and it is free of charge.  [MORE ...]
